Q: How are you doing today?
I am fine, thanks.

Q: What's your name, who are you and what do you do?
My name is Hanna and I live in northern part of Finland, in a little town surrounded by forests and nearby a lake. Outside of DeviantArt I have full time job which takes majority of my time. The rest of time, outside my work, is divided between my dog, family, friends and all kind of artsy things and of course big part of those artsy things is DA.

Q:What is your main art form? Do you do any others?
My main art form is traditional art; I usually do drawings by mixing watercolors, markers and colored pencils. I am a detail and texture junkie, the more colors and details I can stuff in my artworks the better! I do also digital art now and then and would love to become better with it.

Q: Could you show me a deviation or two that you are really proud of?
Lets see... This one is pretty old but I still like it and I remember how I struggled with the sky. It was not good idea to put yellow and purple so close to each other and I had to work pretty hard to save the sky...

This is a bit newer and drawn based on a description given by another deviant.

Q: How long does it take to create an artwork like that?
I draw bigger works like this in shorter periods so it is a bit hard to say total time but anyway it takes several days. But I have to mention that I am a slow painter. :D

Q: Can you paint anytime you want or do you have to wait for inspiration to strike?
Kinda both. If I need to draw something I can get it done even without inspiration but of course when I am inspired, the picture appears much faster and less painfull. I usually imagine the picture in my head before starting to paint so that's a big part of my inspiration. Of course the result rarely is similar than my original vision but it helps me to get started.

Q; Did you ever have an art block? What did you do to overcome it?
Yes, I suffer that from time to time, usually when I am stressed for example because of my work. Then I just need to wait for calmer period. Browsing other people's art helps and also watching movies or series with cool costumes and scenes help me to find a sparkle to make my own art as well.

Q: Let's move to DA part of your life. How long have you been on DA? How did you decide to join?
I have been in DA since the beginning of 2008 - which makes already 7 and half years. I actually found DA via Finnish World of Warcraft forums. I was playing WoW back those days and saw a thread dedicated for fan art and someone linked their DeviantArt account name on the thread. I went to see what was the page all about and it didn't take long until I made my own account as well. As you can see from my gallery, my oldest work is World of Warcraft related. I had some other as well but those are already scrapped.

Q: Do you run any projects on DA? Outside DA?
On DA I run some projects via Traditionalists. For example at the moment we are having monthly "Show Me Features" running where everyone can participate and show artworks based on certain theme given each month. For future projects I'd like to mention the upcoming Traditional Art Week at projecteducate. It will be at the end of July and we have lots of interesting article coming for the week!

Q: When did you join the CR team? Was that expected at all?
I became a traditional art CV at the end of last October. Being a CV hadn't come to my mind until Sylwia (awesome STelari ) poked me and asked if I had ever thought about applying for traditional art CV. Well, I gave it a thought then, send my application in and got picked.

Q: Do you ever have problems choosing DDs or after that many months it's pretty easy now?
It has become easier after time has passed. Of course I get more suggestions now than at the beginning of my term (thank you all the amazing suggestors!) and also my secret file of potential DDs has grown exponentially since I started. There are still often days when I set DD the night before but that's mostly because I struggle to come up with good descriptions; not because I didn't have artworks to feature.

Q: Fun question time! What was the last book you read?
At the moment I am in the middle of "a Dance with Dragons" by George R. R. Martin but the last one I finished was "Puhdistus" by Sofi Oksanen.

Q: Your funnies DA memory?
I can not think of funniest (omg how boring I am!) but the best must be my very first DD.

Q: How often do you use your phone?
Well, when ever I need to call or text someone. I also use it to take quick photos or check something from the internet. Not too often tho, I can sometimes forget it in my purse and remember it when someone is calling me.

Q: If you could try out any job for one week, what job would you choose to try?
Animal trainer. :D

Q: What is one thing that you can not live without?
I would be pretty miserable if I couldn't draw anymore.

Q: If you were given three wishes, what would you wish for?
Moar wishes! :dummy:

Q: When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An artist - that was before evil adults told me that one cannot make living with it. ;P

Q: Are you an indoor or outdoor person?
Both. I love nature and long walks and fresh air - don't mind even rain - but on the other hand I enjoy those days I don't have to step outside at all.

Q: Any last words?
Be happy and concentrate on positive things! :dummy:
